This course aims at establishing an understanding for the role of materials and Materials Engineering in civilization and modern society; and how materials have affected technological development and human civilization; fundamental principles, concepts, and terminology of Materials Engineering; basics of material structures, material properties and material processing relationships; and major materials industry in Turkey.
