The main objective of this course is to
- teach students fundamental knowledge about spacecraft thermal control,
- educate them how to apply this knowledge for spacecraft thermal design and analysis,
- be a systems engineer of space vehicle design team.
Course Content: Introduction to space vehicles. Space thermal environment. Heat transfer principles. Passive and active thermal control hardware. Derivation of conduction and radiation parameters and discretization. Thermal analysis. Thermal test and verification.
