This course aims to provide students a comprehensive insight into the change in Russia’s domestic politics and foreign policy. In this regard, the course is mainly composed of two parts. In the first part, the course mainly analyzes the domestic transformation of Russia in the post-1991 period, the course aims to lay a basic ground about the main Russian politics. This includes a specific focus on the emergence of new institutions like political parties and a liberal market economy after the 70-year-long rule of the Communist rule under the USSR. In the second part, the course examines the change and continuity in Russian foreign policy.
