The AVM407 Air Terminal Management course provides students with a comprehensive theoretical background and practical insights into the structure, operations, and management systems of modern air terminals. Throughout the semester, the curriculum covers key operational and administrative subjects, including national and international aviation organizations, airport security frameworks, passenger bridge operations, and baggage handling systems. Students will also gain a thorough understanding of essential terminal infrastructure, ranging from electrical, electronic, and IT systems to mechanical systems, airport design, maintenance, purchasing, and contract management.

In addition to core operational functions, the course focuses on financial and commercial aspects, exploring terminal budget management, revenue strategies, ground handling, and external commercial services such as dining and duty-free areas. By examining real-world applications and topics like DHMİ flight tower procedures and simulations, students learn to identify relationships between various elements of the air terminal system and describe day-to-day operations effectively. Ultimately, this course equips students with the specialized terminology and practical skills required for professional management roles within the aviation industry.
