This course introduces students to the principles and practice of nanofabrication, focusing on how nanostructures are synthesized, processed, and integrated for real-world use. Students will learn high-throughput fabrication and processing concepts, explore major top-down and bottom-up methods for producing nanomaterials and nanoscale devices, and study how these building blocks are assembled into nanosystems and ultimately scaled into larger functional structures. Emphasis is placed on applications and design considerations relevant to industrial manufacturing and medical/biomedical and electronic technologies.
