Leadership is the influencing process of leaders and followers to achieve organizational objectives through change. Over many years of leadership research has showed that an organization's success depends on its managers' leadership. A large proportion of leadership research has been devoted to the question of what constitutes effective leadership behavior. This course provides students a foundation of understanding for leadership development by offering theoretical background and practical information.

The main objective of this course is to provide a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to improve student’s leadership skills.

Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to

-          define the elements and importance of leadership

-          identify the theories of leadership

-          define and understand the behaviors, attitudes and styles of leadership

-          understand and apply influence tactics of leaders

-          develop basic leadership skills such as team building, motivating, coaching, communicating, managing conflict and creative thinking.
