Leadership is a dynamic process in a group (or team), where one individual influences the others to contribute voluntarily to the achievement of group tasks in a given situation. According to Drucker, leadership is ‘the lifting of a man’s vision to higher sights, the raising of a man’s performance to a higher standard, the building of a man’s personality beyond its normal limitations’. Over many years of leadership research has showed that an organization's success depends on its managers' leadership. A large proportion of leadership research has been devoted to the question of what constitutes effective leadership behavior.

This course gives opportunities for students to study and analyze the complexity of leadership. It provides a foundation of understanding for leadership development by offering theoretical background and practical information.
